Recovery of Claims

Procedures for recovery of receivables by the banks in bankruptcy/liquidation from their defaulting borrowers are conducted as part of bankruptcy and liquidation proceedings in order to help enlarge their bankruptcy/liquidation estates. The Agency determined the total amount of the banks’ claims on all grounds. A unified database has been created to consolidate the manner in which such proceedings are conducted and improve the administration in general. All data regarding the claims of banks in bankruptcy/liquidation and the data on the Republic of Serbia’s claims arising from takeover of foreign credit or loans and bad assets of the banks whose majority shareholder is the Republic of Serbia have been transferred to this database.
